TrueTribe emerged as a corporate venture from Zorg van de Zaak. CEO Mayke Nagtegaal, former COO of tech company Bird, saw an opportunity to create an innovative platform that integrates services from the various brands of Zorg van de Zaak to guarantee fast and accessible support. “Occupational health services have a wealth of data on workplace health issues, but it's hardly used. With TrueTribe, we turn this data into valuable insights to support decision-making,” says Nagtegaal.

Extensive research was conducted into the challenges faced by employers and employees concerning employee wellbeing. It found that smaller organisations often lack the capacity to address these issues properly. Additionally, wellbeing offerings are often limited to isolated initiatives, such as a gym membership or access to an online psychologist. A holistic approach that considers all aspects is missing. Moreover, employees often hesitate to ask their manager or HR for help with specific issues such as grief counselling or menopause-related concerns. TrueTribe removes this barrier and gives employees control, making it easier for them to seek and receive help.

Services Based on an Open Marketplace Concept

The new platform is based on an open marketplace concept, where both employees and organisations have access to a comprehensive, personalised offering of products and services related to vitality, health, and personal and professional development. These include sessions with career coaches, dietitians, or financial advisors, as well as training for managers. TrueTribe covers the full spectrum of employee wellbeing. The platform also provides direct contact with occupational health services and access to a confidential advisor.
