What is TrueTribe’s holistic well-being framework
5 Dimensions, 45 Sub-Dimensions, 200+ Predictors
At TrueTribe, we define well-being as the experience of mental and physical health, and the sense of meaning, self-fulfilment, and social-connectedness.
To help individuals and teams better understand and improve well-being, we use a robust, evidence-based framework originally developed by Quan — now part of TrueTribe. This scientifically grounded model brings depth and structure to our well-being approach.
The framework is built around 5 core dimensions:
- Mind – How individuals perceive their thoughts and emotions
- Body – How they perceive their physical health and condition
- Social Connectedness – Their sense of connection and quality of relationships
- Meaning – Whether they feel their life has purpose, value, and coherence
- Self-Fulfilment – The sense of realising one’s potential and using personal strengths
Each dimension is further broken down into 45 sub-dimensions, capturing the full picture of well-being across work, personal, and general life.
In addition, we measure over 200 predictors — data points that help uncover the root causes behind well-being challenges and opportunities for growth.
The framework was developed through a literature review of over 150 peer-reviewed scientific studies, and shaped by insights from 50+ global experts, including psychologists, doctors, and therapists.
To ensure ongoing scientific validity, TrueTribe has partnered with King’s Business School (King’s College London) to validate the TrueTribe Holistic Well-being Assessment and evaluate the effectiveness of recommended interventions.
