TrueTribe for Team Leads

What should I do if my team results are low?

If your team’s TrueTribe results are lower than expected, don’t panic—it happens to every team at some point.

Teams go through cycles. Over time, they face new challenges, unexpected changes, and inevitable ups and downs. Sooner or later, your results might be the lowest in the company, or simply lower than in the past.

The key is to approach it calmly and constructively.

Understand the Context

Remember that these results are a snapshot of the past few weeks and may not fully reflect what’s in your control.

Ask yourself:

  • Have there been big changes in the company, your industry, or your team members’ personal lives?
  • Is this a gradual decline or a sudden dip?

If you’re unsure, seek input from your manager, colleagues, or the team itself. Sometimes context is the most valuable part of the conversation. And remember—well-being is a shared responsibility. Your role isn’t to “fix” things alone, but to open the dialogue and invite others to explore solutions together.

Next, self-reflect. Could your own management style or recent decisions be influencing results? If so, consider running a 360-pulse survey for anonymous feedback. If you already have high trust in the team, you might even ask directly whether there’s something about your approach that’s adding stress.

Finally, look at recent events. Even small triggers—like missed deadlines or rushed work—can lead to overcorrection or tension. Larger factors such as restructuring, heavier workloads, or external pressures may also be influencing the scores.
